In anticipation of the arrival of the thermomix I ordered a bulk lot of raw sugar. Then I realised we had run out of brown sugar. So Stu thought he'd find out how to make brown sugar.
The measurements are about 1 cup of raw sugar to 2tbs of molasses.
He blitzed the sugar a bit to make it finer. He said he didn't measure the molasses, rather poured it in slowly until the colour looked right.
Another thing I won't have to buy. Not to mention its more enviro-friendly according to this - white sugar vs raw sugar
